Norah Street
Norah Street was named in the village of Awaba declared 20 January 1894. Norah Head and Noraville (Edward Hargraves house name) comes from the Aboriginal word 'norah' or 'morah', which is the large stone on which the knives and axes were sharpened. This was done near water. (Source: Geographical Names Board www.gnb.nsw.gov.au/).
