Wallarah Street
Two meanings can be found for the Aboriginal word Wallarah. Either 'a lookout' (Source The Story of the Aboriginal People of the Central Coast of NSW by F.C. Bennett) and 'mountain kangaroo' (Source: NH 11 May 1993). Wallarah Street was named in the Village of Swansea proclaimed on 3 February 1906. The Swansea Gardens Lakeside Holiday Park is in Wallarah Street.
