The Killingworth Soldiers' Memorial Monument was unveiled on Saturday July 1, 1922, to commemorate all those who served in WWI. It stands on the corner of The Broadway and Brooks Street, Killingworth. The inscription reads: Erected By THE CITIZENS OF KILLINGWORTH In Honour Of The Men From The District Who Fought For God, King And Country In The Great War 1914 - 1919. From the Jim Wood Collection.
