This is the ship which went aground on the rock shelf just south of the jetty. It was the first boat named Wallarah. The first and second Wallarahs were the 60 milers and made the trip to Sydney. The third was used to do the Newcastle to Catherine Hill Bay run. The boilers were visible up until the early 1960s.
