Bimbae Close was developed in 1982 by Dibbene Developments Pty Ltd. There is also an Aboriginal word 'bimbai' meaning 'where the grass has been burnt' (Source: "The Australian Women's Weekly: Aboriginal Word List" 20 December 1961).
