Wybong Close was developed in 1979 by Hooker Rex Marketing and Sales Pty Ltd. Wybong Estate Vineyard is in the Hunter Valley. Wybong is an Aboriginal word meaning 'deserted camp, a dead fire' (NMH 23 April 1955).
