Myall Road

An Aboriginal word, when referring to the Myall Lakes it is said to mean: 'a small silver grey wattle'. (Source: Australian Place Names by B and B Kennedy). Myall Colliery opened in 1918 near Garden Suburb. Myall Road is Main Road 7769. It was an early access road from Cardiff towards Newcastle.
