Lake Macquarie History

Coral Crescent

There are several species of native coral trees including the coral gum eucalypt. Coral Crescent was built in 1964 by the Housing Commission in Gateshead West. Gateshead West School was located here and in 2013 merged with Gateshead School to form Wiripaang Public School at Gateshead. Lakeside School has moved from its location on the Pacific Highway into the former Gateshead West site.
