A pioneer family and original grantees in Martinsville, James Horgan received 99 acres, James Jnr. received 166 acres, and Daniel received 66 acres. A farmer, Daniel Horgan owned a spacious hall where social functions were held. Horgans Lane was gazetted on 8 May 1998.
