Lake Macquarie History

Secret Corner Road

Secret Corner Road was part of Halloran's 1920 plan of curved streets and small parks. Secret Corner would have been a name chosen to complement the English 'Garden City' type subdivision. This was a phrase said to have been used by estate agents in the U.K. to describe properties during the earlier part of the 20th century. There may have been a name connection with nearby Secret Bay.
