Letter from Louisa Fennell to her sister in law, Mary Fennell, April 1889

My dear Mrs Fennell,
I understand in my letters that dear Richard would have given Mrs Rogers, formerly Miss Hely a very dear friend of ours, an introduction to you, as she will soon visit England again by the advice of her Medical Attendant who recommends her to go to the Hydropathic establishment in Yorkshire for 12 months. He feels sure she will find great relief from their treatment. Mrs Rogers has been a great sufferer for years as she goes alone and knowing no one in Yorkshire. I feel that when calling on you she will meet with a warm welcome from you and your family – more especially being the Aunt who took at our dear Hannah’s death her little girl, who is now being educated and bought up with so much care and tenderness for which I can never feel too grateful as we were not in a position to do the same by her. I will conclude with the hope that you are enjoying good health. (Indecipherable) writes with me in kind. Love to all your family circle.
I remain dear Mrs Fennell yours affectionately
L.M.Fennell
