Minnie's Soldiers

Six entries in Minnie Hall's autograph book are identified as soldiers by her, and were annotated to give dates of departure and death or return to Australia.

Archibald John Eade

Archibald was aged 18 years 8 months when he enlisted on 2nd July 1918. He gave his next of kin as his mother Margaret. Archibald served with the 55th Battalion.











Archibald Cecil Ebbeck

The initals A.C.E. on this entry refer to Archibald Ebbeck. He was 24 years 7 months old when he inlisted on 12th November 1917, and gave his wife Myrtle as next of kin. Archie served with the 18th Battalion.











Edward Percival Gain

Edward was 30 years and 11 months old when he enlisted on 2nd December 2015. He gave his mother Catherine Street as his next of kin. He served with the 35th battalion and was awarded a Military Medal in June 1917.











William George Johnson

William was Minnie's step brother. He enlisted on 6th April 1916 when he was 23 years and 6th months old. He gave his mother Ann Hall as next of kin. He was killed in June 1917 in Belgium.













Clarrie Manning

Clarrie enlisted on 24th July 1916, aged 22 years and 1 month old. He gave his mother Sarah Manning as his next of kin. He served with the 36th Battalion.















Andrew Sneddon

Andrew joined on 6th April 1916 aged 29 years 6 months. He gave his mother Agnes as his next of kin. He served with the 34th Battalion, and died of wounds on 23rd February 1917. He is buried at Trois Abres.
