Lake Macquarie History

History of Belmont Lagoon: Acknowledgements

To my colleagues and friends identified in footnotes and others who volunteered their time, resources and/or expertise to help complete this report - especially Ron Boyd, Pam Dean-Jones, John Fryer, Chris Morton and Robin Offler. Thanks also to Judy Messiter at Community History Lake Macquarie City Library, Melanie Osbourne at crownland.nsw, Rangers at BWSP and Max Thomas at Forbes.

Contributors acknowledge Aboriginal people, the Awabakal, as traditional custodians and respect elders past, present and emerging leaders for their care of this country over many centuries. It is hoped this short history might help revitalize community partnerships in its management.

To the best of my knowledge, all images used are free of copyright or their source is acknowledged.
