Buttabah Road
Buttabah is an Awabakal Aboriginal word meaning 'a hill near Wangi' or more literally, 'a cliff straight into water' (Source: "Newcastle Herald" 11 May 1993). Buttabah Road was named by Henry F Halloran in 1914.
