  • Winding Creek, Cardiff.

    Photo Ref: 596

    Creator: Outram, Mr Alan

The view is from the old railway bridge in front of the present day bowling club, looking north. At right side centre of photo at intersection of post and rail fence, Mary Street is visible running north. Thomas Street is visible between fences running left to right of photo. From left side of photo Thomas Street is indicated as follows: The white house, in front of the two story brick hall, and the dark house with white window are on the opposite, or Main Road side of Thomas Street. The dark house with a white upper portion, is on the Railway Parade side of Thomas Street. The location of where the photo was taken would be just to the Macquarie Road side of the bridge constructed as part of the old main railway alignment, now known as Railway Parade.
