    Started out as the winding house for"D" Pit, due to water seepage closed after 12 months. became residence of Mc Dougall family then the Lawson family Mr cameron and Mr Young clerks employed by the mining company shared the residence. Mr Cameron married the school teacher and continued to live in the house for 32 years. Mrs cameron taught all this time and was much loved by all the town children. The Lynch family were the next occupants. The house was renovated and rented by the coal company Coal& Allied however it burnt down in the October 2013 fire.
