  • Depression times at Catherine Hill Bay - itinerant man

    Photo Ref: 25423

Itinerant man living in Catherine Hill bay in the late 1920s. During the Great Depression of the 20's and 30's the presence of the courthouse might account for the large number of shacks or batches found in Moonee and catherine Hill Bay. The dole (susso) was collected from the courthouse.
