This view taken on 6 September 1983 looking south over Redhead Station shows 4819 on a ballast train in the loop. The station’s garden beds can still be seen although they are somewhat over grown.The sidings which served Lambton Colliery can be clearly seen to the left .By 14 May 1988 the rails of the crossing loop had been lifted.
