    Ake Kolo was born in Western Samoa, emigrating with her family to Australia in 1980. Ake is an active member of the local Samoan Community where traditional Samoan culture is upheld. Ake is very happy living in Lake Macquarie and describes her life as "good". Ake participated in the 2015 Harmony Day Project, which celebrated the diversity and strong sense of community our migrant population have contributed to in Lake Macquarie.
