The letter writer is enquiring about the location of her brothers John James #206 and William Lily #207 Thomson. The family had seen the name of one of the sons in a "missing" list in the newspapers, but had no official word on their wherabouts. They were not officially notified until July 1918 that John and William had been killed in action.
