Fassifern Railway Station

Siding and station were forst built in 1887 to serve the Newstan Colliery. A few years later, the Toronto tram line was opened. I(n 1911 it became a branch line of the railway, with its own platform at Fassifern. The station buildings were opened in 1913 and were said to have burnt down in 1933. The branch from the gravel quarry opeerated from 1898 to 1940.
