Sherburn Place

Sherburn Place was named by John (Jack) Barker who developed the land for residential lots in 1962. The roadway was named after Sherburn Hill in Newcastle-upon-Tyne England UK the birthplace of his father Joseph Barker. The family established a poultry farm on this Charlestown land from very early in the 20th century with the original homestead also being named 'Sherburn'.
