Lake Macquarie History

Pacific Highway

The early Lake Macquarie Road and later other sections called Government Road and Main Road became part of the Pacific Highway. The Main Roads Board was constituted in 1925 and the highway between and Newcastle and Gosford completed in 1931. The Pacific Highway is under RTA care/control.
