Chapman Drive
Chapman Drive was built on the airbase and was named as a tribute to an airman who lost his life during WW2 (Source: "Rathmines ... not forgotten : the story of the World War II Flying Boat Base 1939-1961" by Alec Howard). Council purchased the base in 1963 and this street name was removed in planning for recreational purposes.
