Byrnes Reserve, Little Pelican
Byrnes Reserve, of approximately 5 hectares is on the southern side of the highway, on a Crown Reserve. It was named in 2002. The name commemorates the contributions made by Roy Byrnes who surveyed the Blacksmith area, provided early public services, including the building of the community hall and local sporting services. Kevin Byrnes was a foundation member of Belmont Golf Club, member of the Chamber of Commerce, Swansea-Belmont Surf Club and a foundation member of East Lake Historical Society & Museum.
