Casey's story. Caves Beach Public School shared stories project 2022

The waves crashed into the sand as I heard laughing and splashing from out deeper. It was my sister and her friend as they jump of their paddle board. The warmth of the fire as dad cooks breakfast. Mum is still sleeping as I could hear her snoring. I collect shells along the shore. The loud twinkle of the dog’s collar clink together as she runs past me sliding her wet fur along my leg.
Mum finally awakes with the enticing smell of bacon. She unzips her tent and takes a seat, sinking down - getting ready for breakfast. Dad yells out to my sister and her friend to come for breakfast. After brekkie, it is time to go on the boat. Mum stays to take care of the dog while we got tubing. As the engine starts, mum waves goodbye and my dog swims furiously after us. She turns around back to shore. I yell goodbye. The best weekend of my life.
