Lily's story. Caves Beach Public School shared stories project 2022
The icy breeze howled; waves lapped at the gritty shore. Seagulls bobbled around the blue. A haze of mist formed on the horizon, the land was soft and quiet. Sand crunches between my toes as I make my way down the slope. A mixture of purple and red filled the sky with chirping birds breaking the soothing silence.
The sun starts to rise. Golden crabs scramble back into their holes. Mysterious misty fog starts to break, burrowing back into the bubbling sea. The sun glistens as it spread across the sand, dappling the ocean with shadows and light. A cheer burst out from the distance. A warm smile spreads across my face as a surfer swooped past, water bellowed in his board’s trail.
