Geerings Road

On a survey map, portion 60 was granted to L. Geering in 1850. Probably his son, a Lionel Geering established a creamery in Martinsville and became the chairman of the Progress Association in 1899; he opened a store in 1903. His brother Anthony was postmaster for a few years. A subdivision was held in Geerings Road in 1998.
