Peel Street
Robert Peel was a resident of Swansea in 1904. The Peel family have had a lasting connection with Swansea. There have been subsequent references to a D and M Peel in 1937 and later Lillian Masie Peel married Leslie Ronald Werren from another old Swansea family. Peel Street is thought to have been named in 1939 at the same time as connecting Bridge Street.
