Quarry Road
Quarry Road has a small quarry at the end of this street and is now part of a small reserve. For a great many years this quarry was regarded as a free quarry with people coming and digging their own gravel. Early dole relief workers were said to have used it first. Reads dairy farm, on Quarry Road, had 50 cows and in later years their milk depot cool room was supplied by the Dairy Farmers Company. The dairy buildings had been erected by Walter Edwards of Booragul, they survived until the 21st century. There was a wooden loading platform constructed on the footpath outside the dairy. Quarry Road was tarsealed in 1965.
