Mulga Street

The Mulga Street subdivision plans were registered in 1951. A Yuwalarai Aboriginal word for 'acacia tree' (Source: "Aboriginal Words of Australia" by AH and AW Reed). Mulga Downs is a town in Western Australia and mulga wood was used in the manufacture of ornamental articles and these have become collectible items.
