Cross Report:
“Bowd was killed by a sniper’s bullet through the chest” …………” He
was a friend to all that knew him and he came from Scone NSW”
Arthur was my great uncle - what a waste!
EPITAPHS
Even after four years of fighting in Europe the families of soldiers still
maintained a strong sense of patriotism towards the mother country.
This sense of fighting for an honourable and worthy cause is seen in the
epitaphs written for soldiers.
