Eastern Mural at Redhead Public School by Kerri Smith.
Kerri Smith is a local artist. Kerri’s excellent mural shows Matron Grace
Wilson; the Head Nurse at the third Australian General Hospital in the
period April 1915 to December 1915.
PROJECT RESEARCH
3. Research:
The aim of the research part of the project was to produce a
research document for students at the school and to assist members of the
community to gather information on the war service of their ancestors.
Information was also gathered on other local soldiers in order to gain an
appreciation of the very difficult conditions that they all faced.
The names of the soldiers from Redhead are on the war memorial in
Bicentennial Park, Cowlishaw Street, at Redhead and are listed on the
honour roll that is reproduced in this booklet. If you have further
